Why do people claim that nobody can prove that god isn't real?

Well if we're talking about the God of your popular religious myths, the judeo-christian-islamic- Abrahamic god, are you sure nobody can prove it, or is it that you aren't able to consider nor probably comprehend the overwhelming evidence?
