Im calling for all Softball outfielders(HELP)

Alright so im going out for the position of outfielder.I do alright catching the or whatever but when it comes to having a strong arm and making the throw into infield my throws dont reach.My daddy says he doesnt understand how my arms are so toned but i dont seem to be throwing the ball with enough force to make the cut. So i need serious help on what im doing wrong. Plus this is my first time playing softball(freshman year)Also i take to long to try to give an accurate throw? Help me please
