Stains on tupperwear?

Pour Dawn dish washing detergent directly on the stains and kinda rub it in. Fill the bowl with hot water and let it soak a few minutes, then wash as you normally would. I do that with all my plastic bowls (grand kids eat a lot of spaghetti and ravioli) and they are as white as the day I bought them.
